CATHERINE BRITT HITS #1
& Celebrates @ the PBR Event in Newcastle
& "new-look" Hexham Bowling Club
The spotlight has lit up Newcastle singer/songwriter, CATHERINE BRITT, this week as her second single, What I Did Last Night, hits the #1 spot on
Australia's National CMC Chart! This is Britt's second consecutive #1 song
from her current album, Little WildFlower, with the first single of the same name, reaching the #1 spot on the National CMC Chart as well.
What I Did Last Night is also #2 on the Music Network Hot 30 National
Country Airplay Chart this week and Catherine is debuting the song live on
Wednesday 21st May on Channel 9's MORNINGS WITH KERRI-ANNE National TV
program.
"I am so happy people have connected with the song and taken the time to
request it on radio and television," said Britt. "I couldn't be more humbled
by the support I am receiving every day."
Britt has also been invited to perform the National Anthem at the
PROFESSIONAL BULL RIDERS BRENDON CLARK INVITATIONAL on Saturday 31st May at Newcastle Entertainment Centre. Competing over two nights of non-stop,
action-packed entertainment, international riders have turned rodeo's bull
riding into a stand-alone Top 10 sport in the US, with more than 1.3 million
tickets sold last year and 104 million people watching televised broadcasts
around the world. This Inaugural PBR Event will be making its debut in
Newcastle on Friday 30th May and Saturday 31st May.
Having recently moved home to Newcastle from six years in the US, Catherine
is looking forward to performing in her own backyard. "There's just really
no place like home!", she said.
Britt will also be headlining a Live Music Concert at the "new-look" HEXHAM
BOWLING CLUB on Saturday 14th June. After a recent $2-million refurbishment
of their venue, Hexham wanted to showcase local talent first in their brand
new Auditorium.
"Who better than CATHERINE BRITT?", said Julie Bain, the Club's
Representative. "We also have Newcastle singer/songwriter and recording
artist, TROY KEMP, on our first show. We're very proud of both artists."
