  MORGAN EVANS HITS #1 & Tours with SHANNON NOLL in November 2007 and BROOKS & DUNN in March 2008
The heat turned up around rising Singer/Songwriter, MORGAN EVANS, this week as his debut single, Big Skies, jumped into the #1 spot on Australia’s National CMC Chart! “It’s an awesome feeling to be #1!”, said an excited Evans. “This has been a wild and crazy year and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the support I’m receiving every day.” At 22, this energetic & talented performer won Rock Artist of the Year (with his band, SOLVER) at the 2006 MusicOz Awards and, in January 2007, won the National Telstra Road To Tamworth competition, ahead of 600 other hopefuls. This earned him a trip to the US, where he recorded his single, Big Skies, in Nashville, prior to its Australian release in September. This week, Big Skies, is also the 5th most-played track on Australian Country Music Radio, sitting ahead of international superstars including KEITH URBAN, BON JOVI and DWIGHT YOAKAM. Big Skies is also #17 on this week’s National ARIA HITSEEKERS chart. “I am so happy people have connected with the song and taken the time to request it on radio and television” said Evans. “It’s so amazing to me, that I wish I could do something for all of them in return … like take out the garbage, wash the car … anything?!” Evans has also been invited to join high-profile Aussie artist, SHANNON NOLL, on his Australian Tour later this month; as well as the Australian Tour in March next year of America’s biggest duo in music history, BROOKS & DUNN.
