CMA will honor Australian artist Adam Harvey as the recipient of the 2007 Global Country Artist Award. Wednesday, January 24th, 2007 MORGAN EVANS WINS 2007 TELSTRA ROAD TO TAMWORTH. Morgan Evans from Mt Hutton, New South Wales, won the 2007 Telstra Road To Tamworth competition. Singing before a crowd of over 1500, Morgan was selected as the overall winner after wowing the judges with two of his own songs, including ‘There’s No Time’. Morgan thanked the sponsors & judges before dedicating the win to his grandparents. Morgan will head off to the country music capital of the world, Nashville USA, later this year where he will record a single with Sony BMG. Briana Lee from Kialla will also head to Nashville as part of the Songwriter’s Encouragement Award. Judges recognised Briana Lee’s songwriting skills and awarded her the highly sought after package which includes appointments with top American country music songwriters. |
