  TOMMY EMMANUEL NAMED BEST ACOUSTIC GUITARIST
Rob Potts Entertainment Edge would like to congratulate the “Wizard of Oz”, Tommy Emmanuel, on being named Best Acoustic Guitarist last week by America's Guitar Player magazine. This is the most recent public acknowledgement of Emmanuel’s incredible virtuosic skill, a talent that sees him touring relentlessly around the world to satisfy the incredible level of demand for this musician’s musician. Legendary finger-picker, Chet Atkins, once described Tommy as “the greatest finger-picker in the world today. He’s inventive, fearless and has a flawless sense of rhythm. He’s a great showman, too. You can’t watch Tommy perform and not feel happy.” Guitar Player Awards are voted on by readers of the magazine annually, letting them “play editor, and shout out the guitarists who have thrilled, astounded, and inspired, throughout the past year.” Other six-string wizards awarded this year include Pat Metheny (Best Jazz Guitarist), Brad Paisley (Best Country Guitarist) and Zakk Wylde (Best Metal Guitarist).
Tommy is currently touring Europe, Canada & the US and is touring Australia again next year.
