Ingram won the Academy of Country Music Best New Male Vocalist award in 2008.
He released his seventh album Big Dreams and High Hopes last year and is making his first visit Down Under.

Ingram performs at CMC Rocks the Snowys last Saturday.
Ingram said he’s thrilled to be making his first trip to Australia in a question and answer session about his upcoming tour.
Question: How much do you know about Australia?
Ingram: You’d be surprised how much I know about Australia from all my mates in Nashville, including Headline Country’s TV Host, Storme Warren.
He’s been there every year for the past three years and loves it! Same with other artists who have already toured there including Sugarland, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols and Patty Griffin, as well as my record label mate, Taylor Swift. I hear it’s a blast!
Question: Is this your first trip to Australia?
Ingram: Yes it is. I’ve been wanting to come to Australia for a long time and I can’t wait to get there and get in amongst it!
I’m expecting to love the place and so, I’m certainly hoping, Australians will come see me and have a good time with us. We’re gonna do our best to rock it out and impress you, that’s for sure!
Question: You’re very successful as an artist and singer/songwriter in the US these days but it’s been a long road for you. What can you tell us about the journey so far?
Ingram: I tell the story about the ACM award I won in 2008 for new male artist. It was my first award and I was totally thrilled but to be “new male artist” after working my butt off in the music industry for 15 years prior just made me laugh!
I had two record deals fall-through before I signed with Scott Borchetta and Big Machine and now, I’ve just released my Big Dreams, High Hopes album and the title says it all about my ongoing journey.
Question: What sort of shows can we expect to see when you get here?
Ingram: High energy shows, with great songs and great musicians. Performing live is what I love to do the most. I think that’s when you see me at my best!
Man, I can’t believe I get paid to play music for a living! Are you kidding me?? - I’ll never take that for granted.
I am one lucky Texan!
