| Country music fans flock to Thredbo |
|
It's a haven for skiers in winter, but this weekend country music fans flocked to the grassy slopes of Thredbo to kick up their heels.
Come rain, hail or shine, nothing was going to stop them from enjoying two days of Australian and international country artists for the CMC Rocks The Snowys music festival.
Farmers are used to battling the elements - and they came prepared for all conditions.
Akubra hats, Driza-Bone coats, RM Williams footwear and gumboots were the uniform as the rain poured down in the NSW Snowy Mountains ski resort town on Friday. . Click here to read more. |

| One Lucky Texan: Jack Ingram Heads Down Under |
|
COUNTRY music stars from North America are heading to the Rooty Hill RSL this Tuesday for the most rockin’ honky-tonk party, CMC Rocks Sydney.
Texan Jack Ingram, Canadian trio Doc Walker and Aussie Steve Forde are putting on a show that no country fan should miss.
Question: How much do you know about Australia?
Ingram: You’d be surprised how much I know about Australia from all my mates in Nashville, including Headline Country’s TV Host, Storme Warren.
He’s been there every year for the past three years and loves it! Same with other artists who have already toured there including Sugarland, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols and Patty Griffin, as well as my record label mate, Taylor Swift. I hear it’s a blast!
